I love Halloween. I have been waiting for it officially to be fall practically since summer started. Every year, we always have so much candy in the house to pass out to trick-or-treaters. This is an excellent way to use some of that candy in a cute and delicious way. This fudge is perfect for parties too and kids will love it, especially with the “Monster Eyes” added in.

You can really use practically any candy you want, but i chose chopped up peanut butter cups, Kit Kats, M&Ms and candy corns for a pop of color! It turned out great! You may want to stay away from gummy candies and stick with things that are chocolatey instead. Gummy candies might get a little hard after being in the refrigerator, besides the chocolate candies melt right into to the fudge when its hot! This “treat” is a way to get creative with your favorite types of candy & have a Happy Halloween!

  • 3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Cup Mini Marshmallows
  • 1/3 Cup Evaporated Milk
  • 1 Cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Pinch of Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 Cup M &M’s

Directions:

1.Cover a 9×9 pan with foil. Lightly grease the foil with butter. Set aside.

2. In a medium sauce pan over medium heat, mix the milk, salt, and sugar  for the white fudge while stirring constantly.

3. Reduce the heat to low and add marshmallows, white chocolate chips, and vanilla extract. Stir until melted and the chocolate is smooth.

4. Pour into a buttered pan and smooth until flat.

5. In another medium sauce pan make the Chocolate Fudge layer following the same steps as for the white. After you have stirred in the chocolate chips until smooth, stir in the M&Ms until mixed. Don’t let them melt!

6. Pour into a buttered pan and smooth out so that they white fudge layer is covered. Press in assorted candy and candy eyes into the fudge.  You can use any candy you want, but I suggest staying away from anything gummy that might get hard once it has been refrigerated. You will need to work quickly so that the candy doesn’t melt too much, but be careful, the chocolate will be hot.

7. Refrigerate the pan for at least an hour or until the chocolate has hardened.
